Sixth generation, we were not the first in the family to come up with the idea of making wine. While others were inventing a classification, we were founding our family estate. In 1855, Louis and Jacques Carteyron laid the first stones of what would become Ch\u00e2teau Penin. Antoine – A first career in consulting, followed by a role in the management of a startup. Vinifications at Ch\u00e2teau Smith Haut Lafitte to understand the level of excellence required by the Grands Crus. A period at Domaine de Terrebrune, from which he brought back a vision of balance, both in the vineyard and in the wines.<\/p>

He enjoys: elegant, distinctive red wines; balanced whites; old Armagnacs; spending Sundays in the kitchen; traveling (with a slight taste for adventure\u2014from the foothills of the Himalaya to the mountains of Georgia); and taking time with his son.<\/i><\/p>
